Our story and love for nut oils!

When people first hear our name – Nuts Organic – they usually smile and ask ‘So… what’s with the nuts?’

Well, the name tells our story – one that began with a single, powerful ingredient: Argan oil.

Our beginnings: One family, one oil

Our small family business started with a deep love for pure, natural skincare. Years ago, Eve discovered argan oil while travelling, and subsequently living, in Morocco – a golden oil treasured for centuries for its ability to nourish skin and hair. Back then, very few people in the UK had even heard of it. Eve was so impressed by its results that she decided to bring it home and share it! Eve later married a Moroccan and between them and her in-laws, Nuts Organic began.

At that time, argan oil was often called an organic nut oil, pressed from the kernels (or ‘nuts’) of the argan tree fruit. That’s where our name came from – Nuts Organic – a nod to both our roots and the natural origin of our very first product.

We began by importing pure, cold-pressed argan oil directly from Morocco, ensuring fair partnerships with local cooperatives who hand-extracted the oil, nowadays pressed by machinery. It was a humble start: just us, a few bottles, and a big dream to share this oil with others.

Growing beyond argan

For a long time, argan oil was our only product – and it had a loyal following, sold by the bottle to our very first clients and sold in bulk to many of the bigger brand names. Customers loved its silky texture and how it transformed dry skin and dull hair. But as we learned more about plant-based skincare, we discovered other incredible oils with their own unique benefits.

That’s when we decided to grow our range – carefully, thoughtfully, and always organically. Every oil we’ve introduced since has followed the same philosophy: pure, simple, effective, and kind to both people and the planet.
