The best way to apply a face oil
Less is more
Have you ever tried a facial oil but not liked it? Have you found it too oily for your skin? Often, the incorrect application is often the problem.
If your skin still feels oily hours after application, then you should reconsider your technique. Since facial oils are very concentrated, a little goes a long way and using less is better than more.

The best way to apply a face oil
Is your face ready for an oil application?
It is always best to apply a facial oil to clean, warm and damp (not wet) skin. Face oils are better able to lock in moisture when the pores are open and using after a warm oil cleanse ensures that the oil spreads evenly and is effectively absorbed into your skin.
How much should I use?
The recommended amount for your décolleté, neck and face is about 4 to 6 drops. Although it may appear a very small amount, when starting out with a face oil less is more. You may choose to add to this amount, but always begin with less as it can be added to if necessary.
Application
Now that your skin is clean and ready, you need to choose an application method. If you have been using a face oil for a while, you may have your favourite technique already, but here are two of our favourites.
Fingertip method
Please the drops of oil in the palm of one hand. Using a fingertip on your other hand, apply one dab onto your neck, one on your décolleté, one on your forehead and one of each of your cheeks.
Using small circular strokes in an upward, outward motion, massage gently until most of the oil has been absorbed. This gentle massage also gives your skin a circulation boost.
Palm method
Dispense a few drops of facial oil into the palm of one hand and warm it up by rubbing your palms together. Gently press your palms onto your face, neck and décolleté ensuring the oil is applied evenly. Using small circular strokes in an upward, outward motion, massage gently until most of the oil has been absorbed.
