£ 150.00

Practical training sessions are available both in-house and via video call.

Rooted in centuries-old traditions, Swedish massage is renowned for its soothing techniques and profound benefits for both body and mind. Throughout this in-depth course, you will delve into the art and science of Swedish massage, mastering a variety of techniques aimed at promoting relaxation, relieving tension, and enhancing overall wellbeing.

The course curriculum covers a wide array of topics, including the history and principles of Swedish massage, anatomy & physiology, and the fundamental strokes – such as effleurage, petrissage, friction, and tapotement – as well as how to seamlessly integrate these techniques into a cohesive and therapeutic session. Through hands-on training, you will develop the skills and confidence needed to perform Swedish massage with precision and proficiency.

Beyond technique, our course also explores the holistic aims and benefits of this massage. By promoting relaxation and stress relief, Swedish massage can help alleviate physical discomfort, reduce muscle tension, and improve flexibility and range of motion. Additionally, the gentle yet effective strokes stimulate the circulatory and lymphatic systems, enhancing blood flow and promoting the removal of toxins from the body.

Through a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, this course offers a comprehensive and enriching learning experience.
Pre-requisites: Anatomy and Physiology Level 3
